It´s time for África II

Today I have finally changed the winter clothes for the summer ones. So I recovered all my dresses  sewing  up with wax printed fabrics and I wanted you to see the great world of color that can be opened in our closet because these fabrics.

I have different qualities, from the cheapest to most expensive, from 8 to 20 euros per meter.

It is very important before sewing these fabrics give them a rinse with vinegar and salt to set the colors a bit, as almost  fade somewhat.

I don´t show you patterns because it is all done even before having the blog.

Here's my favorite ... This fabric has a color scheme a bit far from the typical colors of other African fabric, however I love the combination  and sobriety which gives the black .

...
Here's the funiest one! many of these prints have nuts or seeds, I like to cut and paste them in relief in different parts of the dress.

...
Here I made a wrap dress with large flowers and a golden strip that can be placed on the waist or hanging around on the shoulder .... pretty normal, it is not my favorite ....

 ...
This set I made for my niece, the pattern is a drawing of an African village with its huts and chickens ... Chickens and eggs are recurring patterns in African designs, the bigger the more I like, Tjis one is from Vlisco.

 ...
And here is another one the mannequin, which is nothing yet ... but want to be ...

Good Bye....
