It's time for África ....

Estoy deseando estrenarlo.

For years I have been sick of a strange African fever wich consist on buying and sewing fabric of this continent, mainly Wax Printed  kind, althogh there are others as Batik, Kente ... but these are my favourites because of their amazing colors, especially for summer.

There are different brands and are produced in many countries, not only in African ones like Ghana but also in Holland, who was colonizing and of course in China. Vlisco is one of my favorite brands, it s Dutch.  I invite you to visit their website and see their amacing fabrics and comercial campaigns.

This time I made a dress with Dutch Waz Printed fabric purchased in this shop located  in Barcelona. I also tend to use the signature rim to finish the bass.

As always, I used the same pattern of body, I made a square neckline on the back . I wanted to give a different look to the sleeves and I cut the pattern in half, turning and giving scope to create tables a bit 80´s style. To add a touch I also made an orange belt with strass buckle (buy in Belis, haberdashery) . I am looking forward to wear it.
